We carry fracture braces! Fracture braces are light weight, reformable, washable, waterproof, removable braces that can be used to treat stable fractures instead of a cast or splint. This new product allows us to stabilize the fracture site without the use of a splint or cast.
“We are excited to be able to offer this product to our active patient population that does not want to be slowed down by a cast or splint. With a fracture brace you can swim or work in the garden without the worry of ruining your cast or splint,”
says Phil Burr, PA-C.
The fracture braces can be molded to the individual patient’s anatomy and this fit can be adjusted over time as swelling decreases. This is another example of how the Orthopedic Institute at Southwest Health is providing evidence based advanced medical technology locally.
